Rigid Turbos
For Seam Phantom® and Top Polishing
These were our original Turbo abrasives and are still the best for Seam Phantom® use. 60, 150, and 300 grit turbos are supplied with every Seam Phantom kits®. They provide a superior cutting and polishing action and can be used for any job that requires ultimate control over the amount of material removed and the flatness. They are preferred for top polishing by many experienced fabricators but we generally recommend floating turbos for top polishing. Available in 7 grits from 60 to 3000. 3 1/8" outside diameter. Wet use only. View Dressing Instructions Here.
Floating Turbos
The BEST choice for top and edge polishing - Updated in 2019
Utilizing the same proven abrasive formula as our original Rigid Turbos these are laminated to a color-coded semi-rigid plastic and utilize a hook & loop attachment. Updated in 2019 with a higher quality plastic laminate to help keep the abrasive rigid, they yield a consistent flat polish with superior clarity. The hook & loop attachment provides "float" to make them extremely forgiving in use. We utilize these for all our flat edge polishing and include them in our New Top Polishing Kit. These attach to the 3" Center Hub Hook & Loop Backer which in turn locks onto our standard SL3® adapter. Buy a backer for every grit for the ultimate quick change polishing system. Available in 7 grits from 60 to 3000. 3 1/8" outside diameter. Wet use only. View Dressing Instructions Here.
Hook & Loop Backers
All our Hook & Loop backers are designed to lock into our SL3 adapter. They're constructed with high quality hook & loop and superior adhesives for long lasting durability. All required machining is accomplished in house and they are hand assemble and trimmed to our high standards. Each backer has a specific purpose and many were developed in conjunction with stone fabrication and restoration experts.
5 Sizes of RIGID Hook & Loop Backers
SL3-R3 3" actual diameter - We use this to drive the small center portion of the natural blend tan fiber pad or cut down resin pads in restricted areas.
SL3-R4 3.8" actual diameter - This is the basic backer for edge polishing with a 4"resin pad. The resin pad will hang slightly over the edge for a "soft" transition into corners and blends.
SL3-R4TP 4" actual diameter - (New 2019) We call this a TRUE 4" Backer. This is the perfect size for top polishing. Keeps a 4" resin pad perfectly flat to avoid any haze around the perimeter of a polished area. This is what we provide in our top polishing kits.
SL3-R5 4.8" actual diameter - The basic size for 5" resin pads when refurbishing floors.
SL3-R7 6.8" actual diameter - This is what we use to drive our 7" Natural Blend Tan Fiber Pads and other hogs hair pads.
FOAM Hook & Loop Backers for Special Applications
(New 2019)
SL3-FOAM3 3" actual diameter - A semi-soft foam rubber pad allows this backer to conform to contours. When combined with a 4" resin pad (a well worn pad works best) this will be your best Ogee polisher and conforms to a tight inside corner radius just as well. (Click Here for image)
SL3-FOAM4 4.0" actual diameter - These have a semi-soft foam rubber pad and were developed in conjunction with James Lang of Surface Savers. He uses these in his Quartz Repair classes.
SL3-FOAM7 6.8" actual diameter - These have a semi-soft foam rubber pad and were developed in conjunction with James Lang of Surface Savers. He uses these in his Quartz Repair classes.
Cup Wheels for Fast Material Removal
Our cup wheels come in two sizes and are for wet use only.
2" Cup Wheel This is specifically designed for use with the Seam Phantom®, to create the back bevel or undercut in a seam.
3" Cup Wheel These are used for heavy stock removal and can be used on the Seam Phantom or free hand. They are precision balanced for smooth running, are available in fine, medium and aggressive grit, and are very long lasting.
4" Redeemer Resin Pads
(New 2019)
These are the resin pads we supply in our top polish kit. They produce a superior quality polish with excellent clarity on most true granite and quartzite. They polish at low speed (in a home) or high speed (in a shop) with very minimal down pressure but must be kept wet at all times. Because they are run wet they produce less damaging heat. These pads eliminate the old wet-to-dry top polishing method we have taught for years and simplify the top polishing process making it possible for every fabricator. Available in 5 grits - 200, 500, 1000, 2000 & 3000. 3.9" outside diameter.
PRO TIP - **DO NOT RUN DRY** When working in a home add a drop of dish soap to the polishing water. This will help keep the pad wet with minimal water and spray
